The GT was the second car I bought, back in January 2005. I fount the car on a dutch Ford website called ford-world.nl and it looked quite good. I contacted the guy who was selling it, who luckily spoke English, and so we went off to get the car from Holland! Suprisingly enough, my brother Martyn also bought a Sierra from more or less the same area, so we both went up to get our cars at the same time! The car passed the test no problem, and I got all the paperwork sorted just fine, but not long after I had the car the sodding head gasket blew! So we had to take the engine apart to fit a new one, and while we were at it we fitted a new timing chain and stuff as well.
I was certainly happy with the car and slowly, as and when I had the money, I modified it with the help of my brother. It was certianly quick enough for what it was, and it didn't look bad either once it was sitting on a nice set of alloy wheels! In April 2005 I even went on holiday to English with Hitomi in it, and it managed just fine. Having said that, I was more happy with myself though, driving all that way without any major problems, hehe.As time went on the car steadily improved, but then I started having electrical problems, with the battery going flat if I left the car standing still for a while, which was a pain in the ass ...
Then in November 2005 I was offered the XR4i for a good price, so I decided to change cars. Even though the XR4i was 2 years older then the GT, it was virtually rust free and also it was the 2 door coupé version, which looks alot nicer too. When I got the XR4i we then transferred all the good parts from the GT onto the XR4i, and now the GT is up for sale!
