>  Car section  >  Other stuff  >  My remote controlled car

Since I was small, I've always wanted a remote controlled car, there's just something cool about them that I like. I never had enough money to buy one when I was small, as they are quite expensive things to buy, but now I'm older and working, I can afford one no problem, hehe. When I was on holiday with Hitomi in Japan back in December 2005, I had a good look around some hobby shops, just out of interest, and I came across a Tamiya shop, which was full of cool things. In the end I couldn't resist temptation and I went and bought myself a nice 1/10 remote controlled car. It's and electric model of a Nissan Skyline R32 GTR made by Tamiya with the TT-01 chassis. They had nitro powered remote controlled cars there too, but they were double the price and to be honest, I knew I wasn't going to use it that much, so an electric one would do just fine. I got the car for the equivilant of 90 euros, which is half the price that they cost back here in France! I've also bought various mods for it too, including suspension parts, wheels and tyres, a better motor and so on, all of which made it much better. It's great fun to play with for a while in a big empty car park, but that's just about the limit of it, I'm not really interested in going into it any more seriously, it's just for a laugh every now and again. Check out the photos and videos anyway!
